EU Services Marks 40th Anniversary
Small, family-owned envelope printer blossoms into a leading direct marketing production facility in Washington D.C.

EU Services, one of the largest direct marketing production companies on the East Coast, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Since first opening its doors in Rockville, Md., in October 1968, EU Services has expanded and evolved from a small, family-owned envelope-printing shop to an 180,000-square-foot facility that delivers cutting-edge capabilities in digital printing, mail processing, and online communication services to an expanding list of commercial and nonprofit clients representing a range of industries.
EU Services founders John and Marjorie Mackey launched their business, then called Envelopes Unlimited, with a simple philosophy: "Do everything in your power to give the highest level of service and at all times be courteous, friendly, and responsible."
This core principle has inspired
EU Services to continually "push the envelope" by adding new and increasingly sophisticated capabilities, as technology -- and marketing challenges -- evolved over the past four decades. All the while, EU Services has sustained its longtime commitment to the environment and the community with its EU Caring Campaign, an employee-funded outreach program, and the promotion of environmentally friendly technologies aimed at increasing recycled content and reducing waste.
Today,
EU Services continues its aggressive pursuit of new services that allow customers to plan, produce, and perfect direct marketing campaigns. Service offerings include customized direct marketing solutions through digital printing, data processing, integrated direct mail, email, personalized response URL campaigns, web-to-print ordering, and customized data-management programs.
EU Services has maintained its family-owned status. J. Bruce Mackey, son of the founders, is the chairman of the board of directors; and EU Services' first employee, John R. Loudon, is the CEO. Both Mr. Mackey's sons and Mr. Loudon's sons are actively involved in the business today. Visit EU Services at www.euservices.com.
